I wanted to make sure ezmuze users realised that we ARE still supporting ezmuze+ – and the reason why its taking so long to get an update out is that we are making it AWESOMES!

To prove this, spend 20 minutes with me, MadNinjaSkillz, going over the new features we are working on!

ezmuze+ update is well behind schedule but there is good reason for it: Its better than anyone could have imagined.

I can announce today two features – One that was kind of already announced, one entirely new.

Send to ezmuze central – Transmit your song to this web site to make it available to be downloaded as an MP3 from your PC or phone.

Tempo control – Thats right, ezmuze+ is no longer locked to 98bpm. any tempo from 49bpm to 196bpm is possible – and thanks to the new play engine, the quality is perfect at any speed.

Still no release date – but we shall keep you updated.

Site issues

We’ve had some site issues (anyone who has played with wordpress with buddypress will understand the woes). We lost minimal data (1 hours worth of posts it seems). The forums are down at the moment, but they are being exported from a backup, just takes a little while. Sorry for the issues, everything will be back soon.

RIP: Activity Streams

The activity streams on the site were causing some major confusion issues – it was possibly to reply to an activity (for instance a forum post) and it would only be visible in the stream – not on the action that caused it.

To rectify I have removed the activity streams. If this causes any issues of any sort, just send me a message. They will be back but in a much improved way.

WANTED: ezmuze+ mp3's

I need to test a lot of the ezmuze central functionality before I can release the updated version of ezmuze+. Unfortunately i cant test a lot of it without quite a few songs uploaded.

To bridge the gap, i am hoping to upload songs thats users have already recorded themselves to the database so we can start adding functionality and testing it ready for the new ezmuze+.
to send a track, email it to james@ezmuze.co.uk and i will upload it as soon as possible.

edit: when sending me songs, be sure to include your gamertag and ezmuze central userid.

Site Updates

To get ready for the ezmuze+ update, we are moving some things around on the website over the next 48 hours. We hope to not cause too much disruption, but we can’t promise no issues. Bare with us if anything goes horribly wrong.

To run a site like ezmuze.co.uk is going to be time consuming and we arent going to pretend to be up to the job. Who better to help run a site for ezmuze users…than ezmuze users?

You will be helping moderate the site, perform low level admin duties, confirm uploaded songs/videos are copyright free etc. You will also help shape the site with your input.

Theres no pay because we are only small fry, but you will get mad props from us and a fancy badge in the forum, plus beta tests and similar whenever its possible.

New site, new ideas, new platform, new goals.

As you can probably tell, theres been a few changes at ezmuze.co.uk. After hitting 20,000 sales it was clear that we were building up a community. When we got news of ‘ezmuze idol’ closing down due to its organisers busy lives it became clear we had to step in.

ezmuze clearly needed a proper community. Somewhere where people could share songs, swap tips,hints and gamer tags etc.

What also became clear is that one of the best features of ezmuze+, the xbox live support, was not appropriate in the next version. Why is that I hear you ask…

ezmuze+ is coming to iPad! Coming very soon, you will be able to take the power of ezmuze+ on the bus with you! While ezmuze+ wont have peer2peer song sending like the xbox edition – it will have the ability to post songs directly to this website and to download other peoples songs as either ezmuze files or mp3s.

so ezmuze.co.uk will be a community designed for the ezmuze user with everything you need. The more corporate stuff, and other products from the ezmuze team that arent ezmuze related will be move to madninjaskillz.co.uk.
